Ryazan Open Day August 10 ??

I received also the following information about Engels AB

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest in visiting Saratov region. We have a lot of interesting sights including Engels Air Base Long Range Aviation Museum. Unfortunately this museum is closed for foreigners but we have a solution for you. If it is convenient you can visit this museum on the 12th of August. That is the only day when they open museum due to "open day". If this date is ok - we will give you the contact of the English-speaking guide.

Sincerely yours,
ministry of youth politics, sport and tourism of Saratov region.

K2G, reading the text on the link of Ryazan-Dyagilovo it indeed states that it's having an 'open doors' day because of the celebrations of 100 years of Russian Air Force.

Tim,

I guess not a lot of westerns already are in Moscow by now - and if any, they probably don't monitor this topic that often ;-)

Received a third e-mail from the organisation: this time with all needed information: promo code, link and adresses to pick the ticket up in moscow, all in english. It's only for one ticket , I can't see yet if you can choose a day (I don't want to click on it now due to the 48hrs time limit to pick them up).

They are doing a lot of work right now, hopefully it will turn out allright for everyone.

Yeeeeeees !......
I succeeded to get my 13 caracters code to pick up the tickets in Moscow. Don't understand anything : I never subsribed with the russian original form, I used the 1st code I received , following the registration for non-russian citiezns and know what ? It worked on parter.ru website. I even got 2 invitations (and could select for 3 persons... but we're just 2 so don't needed more).
I'll just wait to see if everything is OK tomorrow afternoon... And I could even choose my celebration day (for me it's friday cause it'll be sunny). Since I got more codes, I'll try to book for sunday afterwards.....

Well done tomcat, I have 2 now as well. I used the original link and entered my passport number thus, 00000 11111 I had to add an extra zero on the front, Russian passports have 10 digits English 9. Good for us because I have tickets for the Friday!

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi y'all!

I'll be in Moscow tomorrow but unable to actually make it to the show itself (grrrr  ), but is there any info about activities in the city itself? A flypast perhaps, or a small static at Red Square?

And what exactly is happening at St. Petersburg, where I will be all day Sunday? Something of a flypast too or just a static?

I've browsed this forum and did some serious googling, lots of conflicting info!

Cheers,
Pat
