ZK034/Y Hawk T.2 4 Sqn RAF is mentioned in the list of static aircraft. We seem to have missed this one... Can someone tell us where it was parked? (Don't want something like that to happen next year again...)

It was in an enclosure on an intersection between the taxi-track and the runway, pretty much in the centre of the happening. Not sure what the enclosure was called, but seemed to attract mainly men in suits.mailman wrote:ZK034/Y Hawk T.2 4 Sqn RAF is mentioned in the list of static aircraft. Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 7-8 July 2012
Thanks for the very nice list! I did not get on base and looked from the outside. My promised ticket did not show up. It seems I missed 12 new a/c ;-(.r.e.hendriks wrote:Hi all,
I haven't seen a full log of Saturdays show so far. So here's mine....
ANy additions/corrections are welcome!
ZA374 Tucano T.1 72 Sqn RAF Spec. mks.
1112 Strikemaster Mk.80 nn RSAF Civil reg. G-FFLY is flyy
Best regards Rob.
Just a few comments;
The ZA374 should be ZF374
Fouga 569 F-AZZP and an Anson are missing. The Fouga was on the flightline near the static and the Anson near the USAr UH-1 and OH-6.
Strikemaster 1112 has G-FLYY as a civil registration.
I thought a solo Hawk T.2 came in around the afternoon but I guess I am mistaken?
I also saw a trainer a/c in the hangar near the Flightline, anyone for the serial? There were 8 MB.339's on the saturday flightline so I hope it is the 9th Al Fursan a/c.

If you mean the right hand B2 Hangar i can confirm that the 9th MB339 from Al Fursan was parked inside!!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 7-8 July 2012
On Sunday around 11:30 hours a Hawk (black c/s) take-off or made a touch and go. Anybody for the serial.
Also after the fly-by of the 27 Hawks a single Hawk made a fly-by, anybody for that one?
In advance thanks a lot.
Michiel

Hoi Pat,
think your Hawk was XX324, took off around 11:30 and came back in after the diamond flypast.

I saw the final Al Fursan MB339 being towed from the hangar to the flightlines towards the end of the flying display on Saturday. As from 1800 lt, all 9 MB339s were on the flightline...

I notice that the German Sea King has been reported here as 89+55. It's actually special marked 89+56.
