Impressive, I just compaired it to my "old" Canon 5DII 21 MP and see more detail in yours. Probably you are able to sharpen it even a little more. Only wondering about the storage cards you need to keep you from changing it every few shots .Grayburn wrote:My new D800 camera body just arrived before the spottersday at Wittmund.
A nice opportunity to try-out those 36.8 Megapixels !
1/800 sec, f6.3, ISO 100, 24-70mm f2.8 @ 40mm, size 77.7Mb (RAW), no tripod was used
And here are three 100% crop images from that same picture...[/b]

Nice pictures of the Fabulous Phantom!
No action shots of this spooky bird?
I still don't understand why some people lie down on the tarmac in order to make a 'decent' picture?

It was my understanding June 30th of this year is the fly-away date (to Jever), with some sort of 'family-day' the day before.

Perspective, when you're close to an object a small increase/decrease in height can make a huge difference. It also means the tarmac is blurred due to a small depth of field and attracts attention on the object.Paveway wrote:I still don't understand why some people lie down on the tarmac in order to make a 'decent' picture?
