Tell please, whether all planes for an air show fly up and land in Malmen? Or someone uses Linkoping Saab (LPI) airfield? Whether there is a chance, what on June 1 somebody will arrive on an exhibition? Or on June 4 to depart?

Back in 2001 all fighter jets operated from Linkoping-Malmen itself, don't know about two years ago ?

In 2010, most aircraft flew from Malmen, including the C-17 and Hercules. There was a Gripen four-ship that came from elsewhere (probably one of the Gripen bases, don't know for sure though).

The Swiss PC-7 team and the Finnish NH90 are some nice last-minute additions to the programme.
Foreign participants are not that common at Swedish airshows...

June 2 (Saturday) spotters will be offered a special tour around the static display area before the gates open for the other guests. After the tour the day will primarily consist of the air show. Spotters and media have a special photo area as close to flightline as possible, due to safety regulations. You are also welcome to use the press center.

More information will follow within short at http://www.aerospaceforum.se > Media.
So keep an close eye on the site, you have to pre-register for this.

The released map for the show days shows that runways 08/26 and 09/27HEL will not be used as such. There are parking areas to the east and the static display is to the west of the Air display area. The latter lies around rwy 01/19, with the connection between east and west obviously on the north-side.

A question on behalf of a friend of mine heading for Sweden this weekend:

Has anyone already received a e-mailed confirmation of registering by the Swedish Authorities for this Saturday's Spotters Day ?

Many thanks for all replies! :thumb:

Great log René!

This really was a great chance to gather some rare Swedish aircraft you hardly see outside Sweden. In total we logged around 57 local aircraft and helicopters.
I will add some additions later on as we also had the opportunity to visit the helicopter flightline west and the hangars around it (e.g. containing the 5th and latest HKP14) as wel as the museum storage hangar near the 19 threshold.

Also note some of the HKP.14's serials start with 141xxx and others with 142xxx. I will try to sort them out asap!

A pitty we missed the Finish PC-12's. When did these arrive?

Cheers,

Should be 35-8. Also there in the woods were Hkp.9A 09206/06 and Hkp.3C coded 52 (the latter not read by ourselves).
From the showground the following could be seen accross the runway, also used for fire and rescue services.

37904/31 SH.37 ex F7
60143/143 Sk.60 ex F5
