I presume the participants list on the website is still showing 2009's list, as the RAF Hawk and Swiss participation will not be at Batajnica this year, but they are showing on the site's aircraft list...

I thought so as well, but they are put un the 'invited' row, not on the 'confirmed' row.

Probably a bit off-topic, but that "invitee's list" is rather ambitious, although I would love to see that Chinese J-10 !
Not to speak of any "Angolan aircraft" :!:

Well the Slovak Hinds they've got down as 'invited' have been retired so perhaps a sign of the list being outdated?

Wouldn't mind the Chinese J-10 though!

Too bad the date coincides with the Slovaks' airshow at Sliac.

Is anyone else getting nothing when you click on the "Invited countries" link?
If you don't mind me asking, where did you hear about the J-105?

Confirmed by Public Relation Department Serbian Ministry of Defence that Saturday is only for media representatives.
That means staying outside on Saturday for the people who planned to go there.... bummer
Does anyone have experience how it is outside the fence? This location seems quite ok, provided runway 12L is in use : http://maps.google.com/maps?q=44.947097 ... iwloc=near.

Regarding this spot the scramble airfield guide mentions; 'A dirt track leads to the fence from where views of the approach can be obtained. Beware of nosy neighbours, because you might be on private property here' (mods; I hope it's ok to paste this piece of info here. If not, please remove)

Anyone who can recommend or discommend this location? How about security and neighbours? I can image they are not used to aircraft photographers overthere :)

Curious regards,

Johan

And I also would say, be aware of mines around the field. Serbia is far away from being clean of those war relics!!

Yesss that's a very wise remark! Thanks for pointing out. I didn't realise that risk yet... No idea if this rural area has been cleaned after the last war, but we'd better not find out ourselves
