Could not get to the military side. Chatted with the guard which were a bit amazed to see two Dutch persons in the middle of nowhere and asking if there was some flying activity that day. There was not such a big civilian part as now. No problems encountered (except getting back in the evening to Eilat....
Longtime ago. I remember one very hot day, almost no shade and only one bottle of water.

Hi Sjoerd,

Please be so kind to share your log if you have been able to spot. I am thinking of going there myself soon.
Does anyone know in which Scramble that report was? Remember it myself as being a great report, but can't remember which number of year.

Many thanks in advance,

If you refer to the Independence Day article in Scramble June 2007, I can send you a pdf.

Hey Piet. Not needed anymore. I just returned this evening from a great honeymoon and even loads mil stuff seen and most photographed. A log will follow soon but I will refrain from postic pics for the obvious reasons.

Hi Piet,

Just curious, but what are those obvious reasons? The outside of the average F4, F-15, F-16 is not so interesting. Maybe an extra antenna, the outside of a weapon or pod . When photographing the interior parts of radar systems, EW systems, weapons, frequencies or codes I can imagine it.

Again, just out of curiosity.

I won't make a comment. Too easy.

But seriously, I would also like to know why you aren't showing us your images. If the Israeli's let you take these images, they won't mind letting you show them to us. Their security is tight. If there was something they didn't want you to see/ photograph, you would have "noticed" it.

I believe it was Scramble 351 in mid 2008. We had a trip report of sixteen pages of our visit in May.
