Hello,
On 7 February 1945 crashed an Messerschmitt 110G-4 on the 'Ith' in the forrest. 'Ith' is an big hill between the small town Harderode and Salzhemmendorf. (Germany)
This Me-110 flew from Hildesheim to Fliegerhorst Dortmund. Squadron were: 4.NJG-1 (NachtJägerGeschwäder), and was also on Dortmund.
The airplane exploded complete and there is nothing left. someone showed me a small allumium plate with an code on it that was found a small time back when people search with an metal-detector.
On the aluminium plate: 46411 then there under an second code: 1 10.772-001 and there is a small stamp on it with BA 5526 or BA5528. this could mayby be the plate with the c/n on it but I can't find anything. Unfortunatly no picture of the plate, but there isn't more on it.
I hope any of you guys can help me with the c/n, serial or coulorscheme of this me110.
Thanks.
Henk.
