Spangdahlem visit planed
I'm planning to do a spotting trip to Spangdahlem. Can somebody tell me when they fly there. I mean what days and times approx. And if someone can give me an advise for a good position there it would be great.

The fighter jets Monday to Friday 0800-1800,and maybe later,AMC traffic at any time, but expect long gaps between movements for these.
You can access the approach of runway 23,but watch for the polizei as driving on some of the small tracks around the north of the base is not allowed. The AMC airplanes are visible from the south of the base from the village of Binsfeld.

Attention to the police who passes outside from the perimeter of the base.

Thanks for your help, where was it when you had troubles with the police? I think I will try Binsfeld.

Hi,
Binsfeld site is the best place to spot the AMC ramp, we are mostly hit and run- no problems with the Polizei. They don't like close to the fence with your car and camera (roads are ''Anliegerfrei'' which means not official for spotters....
Runway 23 approach: park your car at the Binsfeld forest-site and walk along the base fence to the approach-lights.
The road near the main gate is closed now due reconstruction works/extension buildings.
You can also check airfield guide at

Hope this helps,
regards,
Maurits

Re: Spangdahlem visit planed
I can see why they don't like it if you drive in "Anliegerfrei"-Streets
Parking in the forst is a good plan I think, you mean the forst north of Binsfeld near Mulbach (according to google maps)?
