Hi,

This appears to be either a message which was leaked on purpose being part of a very smart marketing effort by Nikon or a message from a guy with a remarkable memory! :P

Nevertheless, it looks promising! Nikon 4-ever!

Greetings, Paul

Well flyboy, the title of this topic allready covers the load, it are RUMORS, and they probably will be for about 50%. Yes, Nikon will most likely launch a D400/800/D4/D4X etc. but still that might take a while. And this amount of detail, i seriously have my doubts....

Anyways, Nikon will surely launch some successors, but how, when and in what specifications, i'll just wait and see

I am quite surprised to read the enormous increase in megapixels. Wait and see. Especially the video options are something Nikon can improve on to compete with Canon.

It has been quiet for some time about successors of the D300s/D700 and the types mentioned above seem to be next in line 8)

... I only hope they might speed up some things as this current timeline of launching models benefits Canon as they regularly launch in between models (IMHO).

I see some steps forward.... (read: giant leaps) If this is true, the other brands will have to follow suit fast if they don't wat to miss out on "a piece of the cake".

From what I see, I consider these specifications to be more closely to fiction than reality. But who knows, Nikon may surprise us all. After all they have already closed the technical gap with Canon a couple of years ago, and now they may do a "demarrage" with new inventions.

Whatever happens, it will be a nice boost to photography.....
