CN235M-100: 94-073, 95-103
UH1H: 74-22488, 82-24053
Also an army AB205/UH1 visited this base, which was read as 11075. But according to the database, that serial doesn't exist... Anyone for the right serial?

Re: Istanbul - 2011 MIL
It was definitely read as such. Fact is that these Turkish Army "serials" are more like codes: they can change when an aircraft switches unit. Therefore it is not all that strange when new "serials" appear. Or so I'm told...mailman wrote: Also an army AB205/UH1 visited this base, which was read as 11075. Simply not all helicopter serials are known (read: a lot!). The Turks operate a huge helicopter fleet, while sightings are scarce. Even a well-documented type such as the Cougar, still 10 serials are not known (and two further Air Force examples need confirmation).mailman wrote: Also an army AB205/UH1 visited this base, which was read as 11075. "Fact"? So may I assume you have proof?Fact is that these Turkish Army "serials" are more like codes: they can change when an aircraft switches unit. Therefore it is not all that strange when new "serials" appear. Or so I'm told...
I really don't believe the Army serial range has anything to do with unit or base. Hueys in the 130__ range are based at Samandira, Gazimier as well Guver.

In the morning of June 3rd also two UH-1's were on the mil apron, near the museum. And on the afternoon of June 7th one was on the platform, while another one came in. Anybody who knows wether those are the same as the ones given in the log above?

Re: Istanbul - 2011 MIL
Other sources told me the same as mentioned by Marco above, so 11075 it is... Now let's hope there will be a tie up with the c/n...Crouze wrote:It was definitely read as such. Re: Istanbul/Atatürk - 2011 MIL
When I arrived Thursday 2nd of June late in the evening at IST, there was a Pakistan Air Force IL76 next to the civil terminal. Last number of the serial could be 3, but was to dark to be sure. Can somebody confirm the serial?
Thanks,

Seen arriving in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 1, 2011 was KC-135R 63-7980 of 418FLTS/412TW, USAF. Apparently, it moved to Izmir/Adnan-Menderes later in the week.
