Sliač AFB 27-28 Aug National Aviation Days Slovakia
According to: http://www.sme.sk/c/5767575/galko-vyzva ... e-dni.html , National Air Days will be held on 27-28 August at Sliac AFB.
Re: Sliač AFB 27-28 Aug National Aviation Days Slovakia
Very bad idea. Radom Air Show at the same time...Shame that they moved this event from Piestany...
Re: Sliač AFB 27-28 Aug National Aviation Days Slovakia
O well , cant make that as its still in the school holidays and everyone at work will have booked time off
Re: Sliač AFB 27-28 Aug National Aviation Days Slovakia
According to: http://bbonline.sk/sliac-bude-po-piatic ... tecke-dni/ the name of the event was changed to Slovak International Air Fest. Slovak Airshow Agency is organising company. Participants have not been published. That article says, that "we are negotiating with hungarian aerobatic pilot Zoltan Veres and we have contacted some aerobatic groups." Slovak Air Force will invite foreign air forces.
Just for explanation: this year Ministry of Defence of Slovakia decided to change the organiser of airshow. They got two offers: one from Magnet Press company to organise another National Air Days in Piestany in June, and one from Slovak Airshow Agency to organise SIAF 2011 at Sliac in August. They decided to pick Slovak Airshow Agency due to a date (associated with Slovak National Uprising during WWII) and price.

Wondering if there will be another confirmed participation of Su-35 like last year?

Having in mind that Radom established date a year ago SIAF will have huge problem to populate their programme with reasonable participants....Shame!Screenes wrote:According to: http://bbonline.sk/sliac-bude-po-piatic ... tecke-dni/ the name of the event was changed to Slovak International Air Fest. Really nice design, but we should tell them the web is landscape, not portrait!
Oh well, what difference to last year? The participants list was average, nothing real special. And the best stuff (154M, Mig-29) is home stuff!Borygo wrote: Having in mind that Radom established date a year ago SIAF will have huge problem to populate their programme with reasonable participants....Shame!

Typhoon was the highlight. MiG demo was on that day very poor.JA37 wrote:Really nice design, but we should tell them the web is landscape, not portrait!

It was the first display of the season and pilot has flown just few rehearsals. If you saw our MiG in Kecskemet, Brno or Ostrava you know that the MiG demo is now much better.
