Sunny day at Wittmund
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Yeah! Eventhough not every posting has to give info, I think you're very spot on on that!blu109 wrote:And officialy tazz is the record holder with 500 posts without any info!
And ... on topic ... Saw your posting at Facebook about this Wittmundtopic Frank. Last on is the best in my opinion!
Closing down realising that I don't give any info in this posting either .........

Refrain from useless discussions please.
1. Nobody is obliged to give info in posts.
2. At least Tazz' posts are not loaded with promotion, he is just an enthusiastic observer.
3. We do have rules about (not) complaining about others' posts on the board.

Re: Sunny day at Wittmund
Thanks all. Tazz and Claudio too @Michel: Taking pictures outside the base at Wittmund is no problem as you can see. The base offers quite a lot of possibilities to take pictures in all sorts of positions. You can find all the info on the Scramble Airfield guide on this side
A staircase certainly comes in handy, pictures 1 and 2 were taken from spot 5 (see airfield guide) where you would need a three step ladder. Pictures 3 till 9 were taken at the "spottershill" on the east side of the base. This offers enough elevation to take pictures over the fence. The last one is taken at spot 6, through the fence as the holes are big enough there.
