I think this was only done because it was the first flight of KLM into Xiamen.

Nice pictures from Xiamen! All taken airside or even with ramp access I guess? I get to Xiamen airport myself a couple of times per year but unfortunately I can never bring my camera, with my hand luggage all being dedicated to work-related stuff. What a shame....

PS So KLM flies to Xiamen directly now? I never saw a European airliner before over there...is KLM the first one? Could be interesting for future business trips.

Almost all pictures are pretty much "side-on" only, but I guess your access to the ramp was rather restricted at times... :wink:

There aren't all that many "airside-made" photos of Xiamen on the web! :idea:

Yes indeed i had ramp access, and no problems with my camera.
First KLM flight was on march 28, three times a week,
Departure from Ams on sunday, tuesday and thursday
