CNN reports heavy attacks on the military airfield of Tripoli, ofcourse referring to the former US Air Force Base Wheelus.

Dutch TV just reported that Dutch F-16's landed at Sicily, Italy. Can someone confirm that Dutch F-16's departed from their homebase earlier this day?

MOD Denies this. It says it is still waiting NATO request.

I think there was a misunderstanding. Believe it were the Danish F-16's that were deployed earlier this day.

Tornado GR.4's from Marham attacked Libya this evening and returned to Marham safely. This was the longest RAF attack since the Falkland war, in which a distance of around 5000 KM was flown. Which is quite a long flight if you ask me...
Respect to the aircrews of these jets.

Around 1100u lt i heard Danish Airforce calling on my scanner, a weak signal, i was unable to see on what freq.
At 11:05u lt i heard some fighters overfly my home at high level (Winschoten, nort-east part of province Groningen). I ran outside and saw 4 contrails heading from north to south at a very high level, I guess FL 350 or higher.
Maybe the fighters ar switched to an Maastricht UAC freq, i did'nt hear them again.
