Hey boys & girls,
I found out today that there's a dissasembled AN-2 lying at a scrapyard in Borne (heard it from a friend who is not into aviation, but he ID'ed it from a photo). It can be found at Van Engelen scrapyard, near the Ikea/A1 highway. Opening hrs are from mon-fri from 08:00-17:30 and saturdays till noon.
It has been sold already and will move shortly. Unfortunatly it cannot be seen from the outside, so a try to identify it today resulted in nothing.
I hope this is to some help of anyone?
Best regards,
Sjoerd

Hi Sjoerd,
maybe it's the civil DDR An-2 that is/was in Delden with RICAS (police training center) or if it's only a after fuselage, maybe the one that used to be in Diepenheim?
The one in Delden was all silver coloured.
Grtz,

Hi Erik,
I can confirm it´s still there. It´s a complete airframe, with wings and tail lying next to the fuselage. It´s silver coloured all over, apart from some section on the wing and tail which are yellow colored, but this might have been the primer. No vissable serial on the outside, but I did find some construction nr plates (engine + wing section), although probably not the one which is going to reveal it´s identity.
I will try to upload some photos later on.
Cheers,
