DANGER 01: with ATCC Dutch Mil on 337.9000 MHz (monitor TMA-D). My radar shows only the hexcode AE2DFF. When I type in this code at Airframes.org, there is nothing in there database with this number. Pilot has a strong US accent.
OUTGUN 01: same story as above, hexcode AE259D. According to my callsignlist this should be a A-10A from 81st FS, Spangdahlem. So most likely DANGER 01 is also a A-10A and they are both working in the Dutch Airspace today.

Re: LOG 03-03-2011
It is very busy again today with REACH flights over Europe. I noticed that there are many KC-135R's performing these flights, when most of the time the C17's are used. Any particulair reason for that?

For the A-10 in TMA-D, which the're in frequently, you can try to check them after approx 15 min at www.live-mode-s.info ( click GMT+1 ). At least
checking the code and confirm the aircraft type and unit.
F.e. : www.live-mode-s.info/PublicArea/dutchmil.php got A-10A 81-0985 for DANGER01 but OUTGUN01 is an unknown. I can tell you OUTGUN01 is an
A-10 as well. For me matching hexcodes and serials with fighters and military helicopters is not a 100%.

Re: LOG 03-03-2011
RCH is not a type of flight but a flight funded by AMC and those 3 digits denotes a mission callsign which included Diplomatic clearances for some countries. There is nothing special about these KC135 flights nor are they replacing C-17 on some flights.Henk Voortwijs wrote:It is very busy again today with REACH flights over Europe. These KC135 are most likely rotating to/from Manas/Al Udeid enroute via Mildenhall where C-17's/C-5's for the most part use Ramstein or Spangdahlem.
Re: LOG 03-03-2011
I you have searched on VHF you would most likely have heard distinctive comms...Lot's of talking and background noise (sort of peep)...That together with Freq found could only mean 1 thing : A-10'sDANGER 01: with ATCC Dutch Mil on 337.9000 MHz (monitor TMA-D). Also tip of CONDOR is very much true... Look at the link given to Albert's site, nothing more to add

Hi,
Joost is correct. For the KC-135s it's swapping time. A number went east last week, and now these are heading back home. 4 went through Germany, 4 went through Mildenhall.
Cheers,
Oscar
