A few pictures made this week in Downtown Vancouver. Especially in the morning (between 08:30 and 10:00) and in the afternoon (between 16:00 and 18:00) a lot of seaplanes arrive and depart. Note that these airplanes only operate during daylight.
The beaver is located very close to the Westin Bayshore resort. In the distance the seaplane base can be seen (directly above the vertical fin of the beaver).
More beavers and the Caravans are located at a real seaplane base near the Vancouver convention center.
Note both pictures were made with my compact camera (IXUS).
