@Douwe

Your processing has absolutely improved, but in this case it’s harder to get the right results. You have made the subjects too "light” (read=wanting to get a normal looking exposure because the sun is missing on the viewing side of the plane) resulting in exploding the highlight (sunlit) areas and in this case removing contrast.

I think the first picture is the best one, showing the "shadow” side and the opposite side almost in balance. And still having some contrast, 2nd is losing contrast and blacks (it is looking sharp though)
the rest I do not like, unsharp (3 and 5) and for reasons stated above. Although the Russian has potential. Make adjustments in little increments (Do it with small steps at a time...)

Progress is absolutely in your hands Douwe, try and improve some more and your almost there.. Stop bringing yourself down, just ask for tips or comments and people will give it to you, i know i soaked up all tips i got in the past! And still do :)

@Menno Lessons not so much, i just told him what to read and where to find it :) Douwe just followed tips...
Groet,

@NustyR
I did put in the date..sorry for missing that one

@Menno
Wel Andras clearly knows what he's talking about and I soaked up his reading tips and it helps

@Andras
Thankx for the reading tips.also this one : (read=wanting to get a normal looking exposure because the sun is missing on the viewing side of the plane)
Now you say that it sounds so logical that mistake becasue the sun is on only one part of the plane....

Yes indeed it is about confidence and talking small steps at the time Andras and :oops: and I'll pay very much attention to this one (Stop bringing yourself down, just ask for tips or comments and people will give it to you). :D

THNKX guys and have a wonderful day & take care - be good to your loved ones !

:lol: :mrgreen: tnkx very much...
I am abou to really get "addicted" to this thing - pleasure is the first thing I guess......
(reminds me of my old soccer coach - if you don't have pleasure in what you're doing, just quit )

Does anyone of you use different programs to edit your pics ? I only use CS3; but some people use for example Neat Image Noise reduction or Noise Ninja for noise reduction.
What is "wise" in this case ?
Is the use of noise reduction a matter of "get to know the right amount for the specific picture" ? In CS3 I never use more than stregth amount 5.

I use the Noise Ninja plug-in for Photoshop and I really like the results. I use it at nearly every photo and the auto profile is just fine for me.
