They also secured options for 33 A320 family aircraft.

Not really into the civil aviation, so never noticed this topic, but fun to read i must say..
Do i see it wrong or is Airbus a little bit 'in the winning mood' against Boeing. As i read it here, it gets as double of sales as Boeing does..
Can anyone explain this?
Thanx in advance..
( Question is just curiousity)

Re: Orders thread 2010
In 2010 Boeing sold better than Airbus on the totals, if I recall correctly 493 (data from 22 Dec) orders for Boeing and 388 for Airbus (data from 30 Nov)
**this is without the December order by LAN Chile for 50 A320 family A/C and maybe the China Eastern order for 50 A320s which would almost tie up the scores**
Boeing had a lot of narrowbody orders with little widebody orders (don't know the exact numbers now) and Airbus won on the widebody orders with 130 aircraft as of 30 November.
On deliveries Airbus beats boeing with 461 aircraft against 420 from Boeing.

(Note that ATR, Bombardier, and Embraer don't list their orders like Airbus and Boeing, so their totals are based on press releases, and may not be completely accurate!)

Re: Orders thread 2010
Nice overview Yorden,
Just to add, doesn't the www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl article mentioning the KLM order for 5 extra E190's count as a press release?

Should have made it more clear, I meant press releases from the manufacturers themselves.Starbucks wrote:Nice overview Yorden,

In any case, the KLM order was not a firm order at the time, as the deal still had to be finalised.
