Belgian F-16 & Swiss F-18 demojets air-to-air

Post by Aviation PhotoCrew »

Hello again,

we like to share some pictures with you we've made last year during what was certainly the 'hottest' photoflight ever! The weather was cruel at 34 degrees! C , , and unfortunately the sky was also filled with quite some haze.

But of course we didn't say no to an opportunity to catch the new Belgian F-16 demojet inflight, and definitely not because also the swiss friends would join us with their very cool F-18's. Both demoteams made their ferryflight to the Belgian Airforce airshow at Beauvechain airbase.

grrrr, haze haze at 7000 feet: the postprocessing was more something of a rape to make the F-16 look like a pretty bird...
Image

the spare jet flying over the Pampa Range, with the special blue euh 'suitcase'
Image

of course this is what we had in mind, a unique duoshot of two demojets as a twoship!
Image

A very pleasant premiere for all the photographers in the Skyvan, that F-18 looks really very nice...I can't say the same about the ever ugly Belgian backgrounds
Image

Well, we do actually have some bits of green without to many houses 8) love to do that again in Switzerland tough...

Well, it did pay off in the end! :thumb:

You should try and find beautiful Dutch backgrounds. That's even harder than in your country... :(
I wouldn't mind you trying though.

How low where you flying for this shoot? That Hornet seems really low...
And too bad there is good picture of the demo F-16 like that spare for example.

Hello,

Wrong place in the forum. Pics older than six months should be elsewhere.

The pics itself are very very nice, only the bird in the upper left corner and the name of ericcoeckelberghs.com in right corner beneath of the pics ruin the pics a little bit

Not too low, it's the effect of a zoomlens  ; it was basiclly the only layer with no hazy air...and right about the demo F-16: at 7000 feet we were almost flying in the 'fog'...luckely we got another chance in september.

Umptieth discussion archived. Let me point out a few simple board rules to ALL:

- By signing up for your account here, you agreed to have read and act according the Basic rules.
- Basic rule C.7: Postings with the sole intention to promote web pages outside the Scramble domain will only be allowed in the dedicated "Your Website" forum. But in this forum only aviation related websites will be allowed.
- Basic rule C.8: Do not post complaints about other postings or users on this Board, but send a private message to the Moderator of the forum or use the report function (exclamation mark in lower right corner).

Not acting according the rules can lead to a warning, or even a ban. The moderators decide on all of these matters.
Finally, there are additional Forum rules on the top of this and other pages, making a lot clear.
