Incident: City Airline E145 near Umea on Jan 3rd 2011, rapid loss of cabin pressure

A City Airline Embraer ERJ-145, flight CF-92 from Gothenburg to Umea (Sweden) with 18 passengers and 3 crew,

was enroute at FL330 near the top of descent when the airplane suffered a rapid loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released.

The crew initiated an emergency descent to 10000 feet and continued to Umea for a safe landing.

The airline said, the cause of the depressurization is under investigation, mechanics suspect a control malfunctioned.
