Golden oldies made digital

Post by Sjaak »

Spend some time to "digitize" some older slides the Roel Reijne way. Check his great website with useful tips on this http://www.foto-expositie.nl/tips.html
I just randomly picked some slides, produced early 1978 then with the Practica LTL3 (so don't expect the highest quality..) Hope you like 'm.

Back in these years still a few TWA 707s could be seen in the old sixties style colours. N786TW is seen lining up on Frankfurt's 25R runway.

Image

Also at Frankfurt, on finals for the 25L runway the very first production 747 "Clipper America", being the N747PA (c/n 19639) which was recently scrapped in South Korea as restaurant..

Image

Landing for the same 25L in dreadful weather, by then one of best looking DC10 schemes in my opinion, Aeromexico's XA-DUH. This one is still flying today as CP-2555 for TAB Cargo

Scrapped a couple of years ago at Brussels was this first production A300B OO-TEF (c/n 002) seen here at Schiphol. Nowadays for photography, this spot is (like many) history and obstructed by the walkway towards the B-Gates.

The Volkswagen on picture 3 makes in authentic. Those were the days... or even before my spotting days. Great way to spend these 'dark' days (as far as you can call snow dark)

Hi all,

Following Sjaak's series of oldies, below some shots made with a Asahi Pentax ME Super camera in 1984 /1986, also from slides and digitalized the “Roel Reijne” way.... Hope you like them.

Brgds, Peter

Some very nice samples from Roel! :respect: .As a small tribute to "Pukin' Roel" as he was best known to the Soesterberg spotters (with "vla" that is) a picture at Soesterberg end seventies, all too common back then but always nice to see nowadays....

Image

Also taken back in 1978 are these 2 Neptunes at Valkenburg. One might say why not come closer to the subject, avoid the concrete poles and zoom out a little....well no zoomlenses back then but just simple 50mm standard lens that's why... 8)
