Any "hands on" expert on this forum care to commentGear doors in general are a continued source of worry on the F70/100. Uplock failures are common as are corrosion and structural failures in the form of cracks.
In this case however, the doors hanging down is caused by using the alternate system, which opens the doors but doesn't close them after gear extension.
Depending on acft weight and type og gear fitted the doors either just clear or just touch the tarmac.

An Austrian Airlines Fokker 100, registration OE-LVK performing flight OS-689 (dep Nov 28th) from Vienna (Austria) to Minsk (Belarus) with 81 passengers and 4 crew,
did not receive a gear down and locked indication for the left hand main gear while on approach to Minsk and aborted the approach.
The crew performed an alternate gear extension and subsequently landed safely in Minsk with open gear doors about 25 minutes later.
The return flight the following morning was cancelled.
Belarus' Ministry of Emergencies (BMOE) reported, that the landing was safe, the unsafe indication for the left hand main gear was false.
Austrian Airlines said, that the crew prepared the passengers for a possible gear up landing according to checklists and had them brace for landing.
The airplane landed normally.
Technicians have been flown to Minsk to examine the aircraft and determine what caused the unsafe indication, which probably was caused by a fauly sensor and an indication problems.
