Old military jet loses fuel tank upon landing in Arlington
ARLINGTON, Wash. -- A Cold War-era, privately-owned military jet made quite a mess at Arlington's airport Wednesday afternoon when it lost its 100 gallon fuel tank upon landing.
The Russian MIG-15's tank landed on the runway just before 2 p.m. and caught fire, said Christine Badger with the Arlington Fire Department.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
Fire crews were working to clean up spilled fuel.
