We could tell you where, but it wouldn't be fun.
Answers will be questioned.....

I can only agree on the comments about the organisation! Job well well done by everybody! SGV, ATC, pilots, crew, all big thank you, I realy enjoyed my day out there.
Pitty there are always people complaining about position and weather, but weather we cannot control, and I think it was a great position with ATC / tower asking alll a/c to make 06R prefered runway.
And also the pilots like it a lot, as I have a lot of pictures of a/c taking of and pilot filming and taking pictures of us DURING their take off!!!
Regards,
Oz

Might I add that the organisation indeed did a very good job. A big hand to everyone involved. And for al the photo spotters complaining about the position... why not just stick to writing down the numbers? it saves you a lot of frustration

Nice te hear you all had a great day. A few questions as I will be going next week.
What lens would be most usefull? How many mm for fullframe?
Is it possible to take a small tripod? I am thinking about bringing my 500/4 lens. But it is not possible to handhold it all day.

(I think you meant 06R. )Oscar01 wrote:...tower asking alll a/c to make 06L prefered runway.
I have seen some pretty good action photos, despite the weather, so it must have been quite a show out there!

Stephan

Re: EHVK 07-10-2010
No oscar was right, for take off runway 06R was requested but for landing it was 06L. 06R/24L was used for backtracking

Maybe the cooperation between SGV and EHVK could be extended by pointing those pilots to http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=34445 ?Oscar01 wrote:And also the pilots like it a lot, as I have a lot of pictures of a/c taking of and pilot filming and taking pictures of us DURING their take off!!!

Re: EHVK 07-10-2010
Just to add my thanks to SGV and the Tiger personnel who made yesterday such a success! Yes, the weather wasn't great but coming from England I'm used to that!
It seems the area was just long enough to fit everyone one deep....coincidence or planned!? Either way, very much appreciate everyones hard work (and the early bus departures meant we caught an earlier Eurotunnel and were home in Southampton, 375 miles later at 2200!!
