Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
In something more than one week the tigermeet will start.
However on the www.tigermeet.eu there is still no info no further about the spottersdays about how to get there (closed roads, where to park and where to stand to take photo's)
Anyone who knows when this info will be available??

Info on spotting and parking locations for easterly winds (runway 06 in use) now available on www.tigermeet.eu in the "follow me" section; Runway 24 side will probably follow soon.

Is there any information yet on where we will be located when on base? The first spotters day is only a week away and we still do not know where we will be located.

Short quistion: Can you still use the parking at the side of the N264, pointed out as no.4 on the scramblesite "where to go"??
It has been a long time since I've been there, so I don't know if they are still there?
Thanks in advance, Brian.

PS The cancellation of 230sq is old news and the Greeks never said they would be bringing a/c.

Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
Another question regarding positions but this time it's about being outside the base... The tigermeet.eu info pages regarding spotting locations are in Dutch and sometimes Google Translate changes the meaning of the text so forgive me for asking.
The maps have green shaded areas where spotters are permitted but these are either northside of the base or under the approach, if we park in the designated areas as requested can we still walk to the N264 or N277 in order to take pictures from the southside of the approach?

These parkings are still there, but closed during the spotter days, because of safety. Use the parking instructions on tigermeet.eu.Austria wrote:Short quistion: Can you still use the parking at the side of the N264, pointed out as no.4 on the scramblesite "where to go"??
