KLM has announced plans to maintain its summer frequency of 3x/weekly B777-200ER to the new Chinese destination Hangzhou for Winter 2010/2011. Originally AMS-HGH-AMS was scheduled to be operated 2x/weekly in Winter:

- KL881 AMS dep. 17.25 – 11.05 arr. HGH 777 Mon, Wed, Sat
- CZ748 AMS dep. 17.25 - 11.05 arr. HGH 777 Mon, Wed, Sat

- KL882 HGH dep. 13.30 – 18.40 arr. AMS 777 Tue, Thu, Sun
- CZ757 HGH dep. 13.30 - 18.40 arr. AMS 777 Tue, Thu, Sun

Tsjechisch SmartWings hervat vluchten naar Schiphol
PRAAG - Na een aantal jaar afwezigheid hervat de Tsjechische low cost carrier SmartWings de vluchtuitvoering naar Schiphol. Met ingang van 31 oktober vliegt de maatschappij twee keer per dag op de route Amsterdam-Praag. SmartWings is een dochterbedrijf van de Tsjechische chartermaatschappij Travel Service.

The following small schedule adjustments have been released for Winter 2010/2011 compared to Winter 2009/2010:

easyJet:
BRS will increase to 2x daily on Friday & Sunday only with additional departures:
- AMS dep. 17.10 - BRS arr. 17.35 daily ex-Sat
- AMS dep. 21.10 - BRS arr. 21.30 Fri & Sun only

EDI will also increase to 2x daily on Mon & Fri only with additional departures:
- AMS dep. 10.05 - EDI arr. 10.35 Mon & Fri only
- AMS dep. 21.20 - EDI arr. 21.50 Mon-Fri

LGW will increase to 5x/Mon-Fri (was 4xMon-Fri)
LTN will increase to 4x/day on Mon, Thu, Fri only (was 3x/Mon-Fri)
STN will increase to 4x/Mon-Fri with a new dep. 13.00 (was 3x/Mon-Fri)

- Air Baltic will replace the daily B737 with a Bombardier DH8-400 on RIX-AMS-RIX.

- Air France will maintain the 3x/daily ERJ summer frequency on AMS-Strasbourg this winter (was 2x/daily).

Pakistan International Airlines schedule change from 12 October 2010 onwards. The airline will discontinue its weekly 777 flights, the last will operate on 6 October 2010. A new schedule will commence with two flights operated on Tuesday's and Friday's. It seems a bit odd to me, but the flights are bookable on their website. The new schedule is as follows and will continue during the winter timetable:

PK737/738 16:45-18:00 ISB-FRA-AMS-LHE - Tuesdays from 12 October
PK761/762 13:20-14:50 ISB-IST-AMS-IST-ISB - Tuesdays and Fridays as usual
PK763/764 19:45-21:00 LHE-AMS-FRA-ISB-LHE - Fridays from 15 October onwards

Easyjet announced that they will cease all operations out of Doncaster Sheffield as from January 4th. This means that the flights to- and from Amsterdam are also going to be ceased.

World Airways to operate 3x/weekly B747-400F to AMS for Jade Cargo:

USA freighter airline World Airways has signed a one-year agreement to operate a Boeing 747-400F for Lufthansa's Chinese airline Jade Cargo.

World Airways will operate 3x/weekly B747-400F flights routed Shanghai-Yantai-Chicago-AMS-PVG.

World Airways has added 2x 747-400Fs to its fleet, for a total of four 747's. It also owns nine MD-11 freighters.

The news is that Estonian is basing one B735 in VNO to operate daily non-stop on both TLL and VNO routes. Currently the route is TLL-VNO-AMS-VNO-TLL. So AMS will see 2x Estonian B735 parked side-by-side each morning:

VNO-AMS-VNO:
- dep. 06.50 VNO - arr. 08.10 AMS OV773 B735 daily ex.Sat
- dep. 09.40 AMS - arr. 13.00 VNO OV774 B735 daily ex.Sat

TLL-AMS-TLL:
- dep. 06.45 TLL - arr. 08.20 AMS OV173 B735 daily ex.Sat
- dep. 09.40 AMS - arr. 13.05 TLL OV174 B735 daily ex.Sat

The aircraft will swap over routes in AMS, i.e. TLL-AMS-VNO and VNO-AMS-TLL.
KLM will codeshare with OV on both the VNO & TLL flights.
