Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
Hi Frank,
from the website:
Between Tuesday 5 October and Thursday 14 October, missions will be flown every working day between 8.00 Z and 9.00 Z and between 12.00 Z and 14.00 Z.
All times in the programme are stated in Zulu time, the military designation of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Local time in October in the Netherlands is two hours ahead of Zulu time. Military personnel work together internationally in different time zones. In order to avoid confusion when talking about times, they use Zulu time.

Hello again,
Thanks for the reply but I was wondering about the spotters day times, not the mission times, I should have been more specific, my apologies Will we be allowed to stay on base for the whole day or do we have to leave after the first mission.
Regards,
Frank.

Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
Hello Frank,
At the spotter day the registration will close at 9.00 LT. After that, you can't enter the base, so be sure to be on time. Expect to leave the base on 17.00 LT. Nobody can enter or leave the base between 9.00 and the end of the last mission.
So yes, you will be there during two missions (as long as they are not cancelled...)
See ya at the Tiger Meet,
Robert
(You know, from Lulea and Heuberg)

Maybe I read over it but how will it be communicated (e-mail, website) where to park your car, how late to be there and what gate to enter the base.
Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
It is a shame that all tickets for thursday are allready sold out.
Is there a chance that the SGV will provide more tickets for that day ?
I was 30 minutes too late to get a ticket.
I am very disappointed

Yes you'll be informed early October, by mail.Redskin wrote:Maybe I read over it but how will it be communicated (e-mail, website) where to park your car, how late to be there and what gate to enter the base.
The website will be kept in use, for announcements regarding the Tiger Meet (and it's spotter days)

Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet October 2010 - Opinions/discussions
For SGV-members: go to the url specified in the 'nieuwsbrief' of the last AIM, there you find instructions how to apply for the tickets. We still have tickets left!
For the Dutch: after the sale has closed at all the Dutch spotting groups, we will examine if their are any places left for the Dutch (members and non-members).
For foreigners: there will be a small-scale left-over sale in September.
Non-SGV-members who tried to obtain SGV-tickets and Dutchmen who tried to obtain tickets for foreigners: sorry for you, all your orders will be cancelled. The rules are clear!

I was wondering if anybody's got some information for tradeholders. We would like to go to the tigermeet to sell t-shirts but nobody seems to know if tradeholders are allowed...

Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
Hi,
Just visited the Volkel Tiger site and saw the J-222. A well performed paint job. Looks like the "KeeBee" tiger of many years ago.
Just hope that they will put it on display for the spotters during the spotterdays, 7th and 13th october. As it is a "tow-plane" and wil not fly.
We will see.
Grtz,
Edward.

Tomorrow (Monday) at 20.00 CET the final ticket sale will start at http://www.tigermeet.eu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;! For both days there are tickets left, but you are still only allowed to go one day.
Good luck,
Robert

Re: Spotters days Tiger Meet 7/13 October 2010
As the dates are coming near ,is there anything known about the layout of the areas for the photographerrs/spotters ?
I heard the story about the use of both runways during the Tiger meet, with all photographers standing along the secundary runway (06R-24L),the same as Klu open Days ,only further away from this secundary runway due to being operational.
And when operating from the secundary runway , probaply only Dutch F-16's will use this due to being it half the witdh of a "normal" runway. So if this is the case and the more "interesting" participants will use the primary runway, then I think everybody should bring his +500mm.
Anybody more info about the layout ? Because it sounds a little bit concerning.
Rgds,
Kier
