Re: July 14th flypast Paris
Last tuesday (the 6th) I was visiting the Grande Arche in Paris. Unfortunatly the observation deck on top is closed for a few months allready. When standing under the Grande Arche I was surprised by the following helicopter formations:
Formation 1 (all French Navy):
5x Lynx
4x AS.365 Dauhin / Panther (one of them was F-HCHN)
Formation 2:
3x Gazelle (nose codes "A", "Y" & "L")
2x EC.120 (one of them had nose code "P")
Formation 3:
3x Gazelle
1x Puma (one of them had nose code "L", one had code "GBH")
2x AS.355/555
Formation 4:
3x EC.135 Gendarmerie
1x EC.145 Securite Civile
A few minutes after the formation passed another EC.135 of the Gendarmerie flew over the Grande Arche. Unknow if this was one of the helicopters which flew in the formation.

Re: July 14th flypast Paris
Hi there,
Here's my log for the July 14th flypast. Most fixed wing a/c have been identified now, but some still need confirmation. Unfortunately I failed to ID any helicopters during the flypast due to heavy rain (and sheltering my poor ass). Luckily a few others did (thanks guys)! The ones marked "*" landed at the nearby Les Invalides for static display.

Re: July 14th flypast Paris
Hi,
Many thanks for posting the log, it was a tad wet wasn't it , I to witnessed the helicopters from a very basic shelter, well I still got soaked but it could have been worse.
Haven't had much chance to have a good look at my pictures yet, but I can offer the following on the fixed wing.
472/93-CC
Rafale B
113-IK
113-ID ?
113-IB
Mirage 2000N
114-BI
114-BO
114-BT
Will double check later on all.
Hope it helps
Marc

Thanks for sharing. These 2000N's will probably come out as 116-xx instead of 114-xx. Looking forward for you check results.

Re: July 14th flypast Paris
Thanks for the post Sjoerd
So far as the fixed wing types go, I have nothing confirmed as different but confirm 116-BT as one of the M2000Ns.
On the rotary types, the rain is clearly visible in the photos but you can just about make out the following - in sequence as taken, though I have no idea which Module they are in:
362 - AS365 plus one with red/blue fin
F-HCHN -AS365
322 SA365
GHU Gazelle
BHG Tigre plus two
CAE Puma
GBZ, GBL, GAM and GCL Gazelle
DBI Puma
PM -AS332A in white scheme with blue markings
JDB and JBH EC135
F-ZBPM EC-145
Not in the flypast but seen flying around were SA EC-725R and an AS555 either UU, UY or UT - or may have been more than one
On static display at Place de la Concorde were:
2633/CAE EC-725
2015/BHD Tigre HAP
??? NH Industries prototype of some sort
260 Lynx
2461/SA EC725
507 AS565 "F-XCHK"
322 SA3650867/JDL EC135 Gendarmerie
F-HBKG EC120
Thanks to IH for the bike tour!

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for your additions. I've added them into my LOG and found some additional info too. We're nearly there now!
A few remarks:
EDIT: UY did take part of the flypast, as well as UT according to some images on http://www.deltareflex.com/forum" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

A few remarks:
SA was confirmed to have taken part in the flypast. Your AS555 could well be UY. I've noted this one myself in the early morning.South Coast Sid wrote: Not in the flypast but seen flying around were SA EC-725R and an AS555 either UU, UY or UT - or may have been more than one

Are you sure this wasn't 2009/BHB? The NH90 was a mock-up unfortunately.South Coast Sid wrote: On static display at Place de la Concorde were:

Hi Sjoerd
You are quite right - it should have read BHB - that's what is on my photos.
We looked at the NH INdustries machine for a while and thought it looked too good to be a mock up. Obviously not made by the same people who made the F-35 mock up at Beauvechain.

Re: July 14th flypast Paris
From my own gloomy photos I can add the following re the helicopter defile-
Module 1 - AS565SA in special marks was 522
Module 2 - second Gazelle was GCL
Module 5 - Gazelles were GCA,GBL & GAM, SA330 confirmed as DBI
Module 6 - SA330 of EH067 may have been AH but by no means 100% certain in the rain
Module 8 - I have the Sec Civile as F-ZBPW,F-ZBPX & F-ZBQC but not F-ZBKM. (prior to the fixed wing flypast F-ZBPL passed to the south of Invalides heading west)
This would make the spare Gazelle GCP
Am still drying out!!

Re: July 14th flypast Paris
Hi Ronald & others,
Thank you for your helpfull LOG of Evreux and helping to confirm Mirage 2000N 116-BQ. From the 2000D's however only 2 are the same.
Just checked the images again (on higher rez), and came across some updates/corrections. Also found some new images on the French boards. All updates can be found in the above LOG underlined.
Cheers,
