Seven die in Siberia plane crash
Seven people died after a passenger plane crashed as it was coming in to land in northern Siberia, the Russian emergencies ministry has said.
Eight of the people 15 people on board survived the crash, a spokeswoman said.
The plane had been approaching the airport in the city of Igarka, the spokeswoman added.
The plane was identified as an Antonov-24 twin turboprop. However it was not immediately known which airline it belonged to.
"The plane was flying from Krasnoyarsk to Igarka and crashed 700m from the runway as it came in to land," ministry spokeswoman Irina Andriyanova told the Rossiya-24 television news channel.
She said four of the 15 people on board were crew members.
