The calibration device for rotor tracking is visible on picture 04 (the small yellow device forward of the front cockpit, with the wires going into the front cockpit) I don't know the function of the cables on the demo Apache.Redskin wrote:i thought it was some calibration device for the main rotor.Arthur Bijster wrote:Very nice pics you made there everybody.

You're right, but the cable on shot 1 comes from the same point under the cockpit and goes to the back of the heli. Maybe some kind of monitoring device??Viperdriver wrote: The calibration device for rotor tracking is visible on picture 04 (the small yellow device forward of the front cockpit, with the wires going into the front cockpit) I don't know the function of the cables on the demo Apache.

Just my two cents: I believe it is a camera to shoot onboard footage during the demo. The wire may be running from the camera to the recorder stored in the compartment in the tail.

I can only agree, even though the pics of the other guys are nice to look at too, to me a picture is so much more than just the plane in the picture. I always encourage anyone to lower the shutter speed and try to get some nice blur and movement in the picture. With frozen rotors, it just doesn't do the plane justice. But that's just one guy's opinion.Iwan Bogels wrote:Perfect composition and fantastic propblur, next to perfect lighting and contrast
On a different note, wow... the Demo Apache has a horrible c/s! The redskin on the tail is allright but the orange (what that? dayglow?) panels make it look kinda cheap.
