Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

The Apache Solo Display looks nice! They only should erase the text "Apache Solo Display" on the sides. It looks stupid and it's to obvious...
And ofcourse, the pics are great!

Is it me, or does the chinook has a new window just after the cockpit? it looks so (unnatural) big.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.
Re: EHGR Gilze-Rijen 11-06-2010
No it's not an illusion, it is a panel that is interchangeable for a "square" window and a panel with a lot smaller round window.
http://www.touchdown-aviation.com/types ... hinook.php has some photo's with both panels installed.
Great website by the way.
Regards Pete

Hi Jimmy,
Although three people made some nice shots of the C-130, I like your shots the best. Perfect composition and fantastic propblur, next to perfect lighting and contrast. Love the green runway lights in the photo too....
Well done,
Iwan

Was it earlier not only an open hatch?
Re: EHGR Gilze-Rijen 11-06-2010
When the chinook flies with doorguns then it's a open window. also when it's hot weather and for special manouvres they leave this window open. Otherwise it is closed like you see on the picture. And indeed they can also put a hatch with a smaller window in it.

better a spotter with stepladder behind me than a spotter with 50mm in front off me

I agree with you Iwan. Jimmy's pictures of the Hercules are a good example that you don't always need the sun for nice pictures. In this case the lighting of the picture is far better than with sunshine, resulting in a nice contrast. The propblur is just the way it should be, did you use a tripod for this picture or just a steady handIwan Bogels wrote:Hi Jimmy,
