Families Day @ Brize this saturday, any tips?

Post by Thermal »

This Saturday is the 'Families Day' at RAF Brize Norton.
Quite a few aircraft will appear (Incl. Red Arrows and (maybe) the KLu F-16 demo team) doing displays there. Since I'm no familiy I'm not invited :( But I'm hoping to see some action from outside the fence.

Anyone any tips on where to stand for making photographs during the displays? Never been to Brize before so any tip would be welcome.

Cheers

All,

After Departures Day at Fairford we paid a visit to Brize Norton. Around 1815Lt (19th of July) these nice birds
came overhead the field to the north-west. Anyone spotted them, or has more info?

Thanks allready,

Expected to depart from here on 04AUG at 0700z
CTM1292, a TBM-700 of the AdlA.
Destination Amsterdam-Schiphol (ETA 0825z)

Regards,
Gerard

P.S. in my opinion Brize Norton is BZZ, not BZN (i.e. Bozeman, Montana!)

Hi
Seen on 14/08/2010 was RA-82040 AN-124 Russian Air Force. This was also seen again on 17/08/2010. It has a blue 224 badge on the tail.
Also seen on the 17/08/2010 was 01 Black AN-30 Russian Air Force.
Req for the 17/08/2010 were 2 Pumas, if anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks
Robert Mitchell
