Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Payerne 25 & 26th of May. (22 pictures)
Hi there,
A small impression of one and a half day at Payerne. Good weather (especially tuesday) and some good flying. Tuesday 3 sorties during the day and wednesday 2 sorties in the morning (then we left). The J-5017 performed two practice displays at tuesday. Very nice.
Beside the pictures shown below (no cropping and no PP except putting the horizon straight, some pictures are sharper at home; maybe because compression and bringing back raw files from 21mb to less then 1mb jpeg), there were also some helicopters, PC-7 and PC-6.
Hope you enjoy.
I know I did.

Very very nice to watch, also really sharp.
Even to big for mine 24 inch screen, but no matter!

thanks for the comments.
Can someone, maybe the previous "poster" explain to me what a EKUR-pod is. Couldn't find it directly with google. Thanx in advance.

Here is some further information (in German). These pods contain filters which are used to measure radio activity at high altitude. They were also recently used on test flights when the ash cloud covered Europe..

Some wonderfull shots of this mighty airbase. Really like them (brings back some good memories ). A bit smaller the next time would be nice though.
Keep them coming!

Sven

Hi Emile,
Great photos! Especially the Hornet with the snowy mountains in the background and the F-5Fs. Excellent visibility.

Thanx for all the comments. Next time I will show smaller photos. I guess this is the downside of having a large screen at home and some aging eyes
