Mirage F1 at Reims 05-05-2010
Seizing the opportunity to see the Mirage F1CT before disbandment we went to Reims last Wednesday.
On arrival at thusday evening they where still flying around 23:30.
The next morning flying started around 09:45 and they where still flying when we left around 18:00. Reims is at the moment a nice place to visit whit more then enough activity and all the Mirage F1 left in service with the French Air Force ( except the one’s in Djibouti)
Thanks for looking.
Regards Ronald.

How many mm do you need to photograph on the taxitrack and how many on the runway?
Re: Mirage F1 at Reims 05-05-2010
Taxi = between 70 - 200mm
runway = around 360 mm
But offcourse it all depands on where you are standing. If you are standing next to the old civil terminal you need more than 400mm for a mirage on the runway.

Re: Mirage F1 at Reims 05-05-2010
The best days are when runway 25 is in use this was not the case when we where there.
Runway shots are 400 mm , taxiways are close to the fence so 200 mm is enough
Regards Ronald

On the othe hand, good shots

The uses of steps around the field is no problem
The only place you will be send away is the road to the main gate
