Where to go? Newbie to EHLW spotting
I hope my question is allowed here on this sub-forum
I am planning to go to Leeuwarden next week (either 25 or 26th). Seeing the layout of the airfield I am a bit unsure where I should go with what wind direction. The thing is that I would like to drive to the right place right away, so I don't miss the early flights.
I am assuming that runway 06-24 is normally used? Or is 09-27 also regularly used?
When talking about 06-24 at what wind directions the 06 side is used?
Again, sorry if this is not the right sub-fourm.

Thanks Crizz,
I have already seen and read this before I posted my question (I have even ordered the airfield guid ebook yesterday.. )
I am a bit confused about the smaller runway. Is it used when the wind is coming from the West or North-West for instance? Or is not used at all?

09-27 is only used in cases when 06-24 is not usable due to reconstruction work or similar reasons.

Thanks Hans, that's what I wanted to know. This means I only have to choose between two locations next weekHans Rolink wrote:

Dag collega’s,

M0737/10 - AERODROME CLOSED. 14 MAY 06:00 2010 UNTIL 14 MAY 14:30 2010. CREATED: 06 MAY
07:39 2010
(NOTAM = NOtics To Airmen.

Re: Where to go? Newbie to EHLW spotting
