Argentina Cherokee crashed deliberately: investigation

Post by frank kramer »

According to Dutch press, police in Argentina are convinced that an Argentine PA28 Cherokee (LV-LDP) was crashed deliberately by switching off the engine in Patagonia, Argentina by a Dutch journalist after killing the pilot. The journalist (who had a PPL) appears to have attempted to rent a plane solo, but when that failed rented a plane with pilot. Following the crash, after which both occupants were found dead, police discovered a bloody knife in the cockpit, and a farewell note in the hotel. The aircraft keys were missing from the ignition.

Weird story :?
