Wittmund superbase
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Haha, I can imagine that, but no I did not! I saw it in my picture so I made a detail of it. Look at the backseater in the 125-CQ.

Very nice, but I think you overdid it on the landing 37+22.
There is some sort of black haze aroud the aircraft or something.

I'd say a least three of them are, and the rest has quite some 'clarity' or similar. I still can't help but seeing the HDRs as very realistic drawings or paintings, rather than photos...dinovandoorn wrote:that's a HDR one
Erik
Climb to 20ft, we're leaving a dust trail
Re: Wittmund superbase
It's a sin we didn't met up there Olli J. Indeed your idea is really smart, next time I'll ask to the hotel/Gasthouse a crate too!.. Or just buy one new and drink all the beer .Olli J. wrote: @zero5: thanx for showing the spotters corner pic...I'm that one standing on the beer crate
We had not the ladder so took only landing shots.

Some from me, sad we discovered the spotting point in the middle of the field (I think spot 4 was closed...) too late. However great day also without ladders!

Re: Wittmund superbase
I also posted this message on the "spotting Germany-Wittmund" page....but also wanted to tell it overhere....
This weekend I had one of the Turkish pilots over at my place.
Where he saw the Mirage photo with the guy at the backseat + "HELLO" sign he laughed and also wanted something like that.
I gave him the chance to play with my computer for a while and we both created this sign (A4 size)
Printed a few of it, so possibly more pilots will use it.
So, beware for this coming week and look for Turkish F-16´s with notes like this at the canopy
The first one who posts a photo of it on this forum wins a fridge !! (I got a broken one in my basement, but you have to pick it up yourself !)
I brought this guy back to Wittmund about two hours ago and there he found out that they (the turkish guys) planned to fly again tomorrow afternoon....but do not shoot the messenger !
