U.K. Airports closed as volcanic ash drifts toward

Several airports have closed after a volcano erupted in Iceland, sending a plume of ash towards the UK.

This will affect dutch airspace as well.
So if you are planning to go anywhere, stay close with the latest news.

All UK controlled air space will be closed, except for emergency flights.

If the 'upper' wind doesn't change, the Vulcanic Ash will be this evening overhead Brussels.

Dublin is active by the way, Aer Lingus has some oceanic flights going out today, albeit with delays. (saw EIN125 to Chicago on the casper website a little while back)

Breaking news on BBC site: England & Wales airspace to open at 07:00 BST Saturday.

Sadly, Dutch airspace was closed from surface to FL600, AFAIK. Not even glider flying is allowed... :roll: (unless that has changed meanwhile).
