Thanks very much indeed for the co ordinates for the Swedish, can anybody provide co ordinates for where all aircraft can be seen? Same format would be great! Many thanks,
Tim.
Going up and down this dead end road and on the road towards
the fence you can read the F-4s and Norwegian F-16s.
Also the Polish F16s will appear agian.

Re: Frisian Flag 2010
Hi all,
Just a quick and probably easy question: with winds coming from the North East I will travel to Marsum tomorrow morning early. How are the parking conditions around the spotters corner - is it still possible to part along the small road towards the spotters corner or is it better to park in Marsum???
Thanks for your help and see you all tomorrow?
Erik

Re: Frisian Flag 2010
There is a small parking lot near the spottershill which has space for I guess 20-25 cars. I guess the rest can be parked neatly next to the road.

Re: Frisian Flag 2010
Otger,
Thanks for the extra co ordinates. Does it mean that the following can be seen from 2 locations?
F-4 GAF F-16 NorAF F-16 Polish 53 14' 12.00N 05 45' 40.94E?
SwAF Grippens 53 13' 09.16N 05 43' 46.42E, Are the Finns also here?
Just trying to make the best use of time, any help appreciated!
Tim.

Re: Frisian Flag 2010
GAF F-4s, Polish and Norwegian Vipers can be seen from 53°14'16.18"N 005°44'41.08"E too... You'll have to go to both 53°14'12.00"N 005°45'40.94"E and 53°14'16.18"N 005°44'41.08"E to get them all. Or walk the fence in between these points which is not exactly appreciated by the local farmer(s).
Gripens and Hornets are indeed visible from 53°13'09.16"N 005°43'46.42"E, but you'll have to move up and down the road a couple of hundred meters to see them all.
Have fun! Leeuwarden is a great place to visit. Not just the airfield!

Here is a recap:
53.23438N, 5.73661E
From around here the Polish are visible plus the first Norwegian (285 and 686 on last sunday)
53.23664N, 5.76185E
From around here the F-4 and Norwegian are visible, also the last Polish again.
53.21521N, 5.75119E
Most a/c are in front of you, the Norwegian Falcon 20 is the already visible.
From here to the west on the private field the Swedish will be visible after a while between the trees.
From here to the east on the private field the Finnish (and the F-15s) will be visible between the
buildings. Saw them when they arrived. Don't know if they are all visible when they are parked.
53.21645N, 5.73695E
The Marsum side spotters location. Did not check this, but some of the Swedish
are reported to be visible from here.
53.23091N, 5.77634E
Did not check this but from the disused railway the F-4 are reported to be visible.
Hope this helps,
Otger

Hope Iwan has some nice pics.....and the other stupid cow as well.
Big bazooka on his belly and stil going to places wher they should not go.
Please people, don't go standing in meadows where now one else goes.
I talked to the security this morning, they are totally finished withs the spotters circus.
Don't spoile it for others.

And people like you are ruining the pleasure of other visitor spotters and local spotters. You can think yourself where you can or can't go, this week xx spotters sent away and even some got arrested. Just keep standing on the normal spotting places, the KLu is getting really tired of the "unknown" spotters walking around the fedges (forbidden!!). If this keeps going on there may be concequences for all of us at Leeuwarden, don't think only for yourself!...pjotrtje wrote:GAF F-4s, Polish and Norwegian Vipers can be seen from 53°14'16.18"N 005°44'41.08"E too... Ah well, this goes to say that UK English tongue in cheek understatements (such as "Or walk the fence in between these points which is not exactly appreciated by the local farmer(s).") are not common to all of us...
