Boeing positive about wingflextest on 787

Aircraft builder Boeing is positive about the experiment testing the wingflex of the new 787 last sunday 28 March. To test the strength of the wing construction, the static test example of the Dreamliner got through tough times. De test is part of the certification phase that the 787 is passing. According regulations the upward pressure was risen to 150 per cent of the most extreme weather conditions that the 787 can expect during flight. With that the tips stood 7.6 meters high in the air.

The results of the two hours enduring final test will be analysed the next weeks, according to Boeing. When that has taken place, it can be sure wether the test was succesfull.
