Guicango company plane performs emergency landing

Luanda – An aeroplane of the Yak-40 type, belonging to the private Guicango firm, on Sunday afternoon had to perform an emergency landing in the Luanda airport, which fortunately did not cause any victims, ANGOP learnt on the spot.


The aircraft, with the licence plate D-2 FES, was coming from the northern Cabinda Province. It was carrying 34 passengers and three Russian pilots.


According to the operations director of the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, engineer Costa Lima, the incident took place because of mechanical problems.
