Hi there,
I did see the great photo's from Luftwaffe museum Berlin-Gatow 26-11-2009 and though well I visit some places around Leipzig last December where I made some nice shots. Petty I had no time to visit Berlin/Gatow.
As in the forum, lot of old stuff is rusting away which is really a pitty!

Nice pictures !!!
The condition of the aircraft look a lot better than the ones at Gatow
Language is Russian on the plane, so surprised to see that on a LSK fighter (unless this was a Russian one, but now painted in LSK colours)...

My first thought as well... keep it simple I guesskiwi wrote:I find it shocking how simple the cockpit of the Hip is!
One more thing to say... for all the planes I visit I could freely walk around them and sometimes even get a look inside. Not sure if this would be the case for the Luftwaffe museum at Berlin-Gatow. And the conditions of the planes are really terrible, with exception of Flugwelt (Aviation World) Altenburg-Nobitz. They did a really nice restoration on the MiG-21SPS Fishbed-F and even the Breguet BR-1150 Atlantic is protected well (see landing gear, not sure if this is temporary due winter). They also have a Mil Mi-2 Hoplite (no picture) which is now in restoration.
Cheers,
Matthijs
