Update/temporary closure of Message Board - 19 January 2010

Hi,

Already way overdue, but I need to do the latest update of the software of this message board. This update contains some bug fixes and repairs some minor security issues. This is quite similar to the regular updates you need to do on your own computer - like the monthly updates on Windows computers.

But in contrast to the last four or five or so updates during 2009, which I could do "online", without interrupting normal usage, this one will take some time and I need to disable the Message Board during this update.

So, on Tuesday, 19 January, starting at around 22:00 CET, you will not be able to view or post any messages. This will take about 1 to 2 hours.
So when everything goes as planned, you should be able to visit the Message Board again from midnight latest.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but please keep in mind this update needs to be done to guaranty a save and bug free usage.

Bit faster then expected, luckily, the upgrade of the message board has completed.

There are at this moment few extra functionalities for most users, at least for as far as we have enabled them yet.
Both are related to reporting posts;

• From now on, you can also report Private Messages to the moderators. But please note all moderators will be able to read the PM also!
• When you report a post, either a public or a PM, you can choose to be informed when the report is being dealt with.

Note this upgrade has not been tested thoroughly, and certainly not the mobile variant. So when you encounter any strange behaviour, ranging from functionality not working, or giving incorrect results, to strange texts (between curly brackets, like {L_SOME_PHRASE}), or colours not matching with standard Scramble layout, please let me know!!
