Small correction; manufacturer is Letov (without the 'k').
How sure are you about them being ex Czech AF? As far as I know, the East Germans also operated them, with the same color scheme, and they didn't carry any nationality markings.

Yesterday I asked Piet Smedts about this. The two Letkov drones are bought in Germany and used to belong to the former East-German army he told me.

These drones already have history here in The Netherlands. Four of them were seen and photographed in an industrial area in Bergen (NL) as early as February 16th, 2008. Among those four were 06-14 and 09-06:

Here's two pictures I made that day:

06-14 (+2 more unidentified, directly behind it)

09-06:

Hello

In Mill at Fitland Sportcentrum at the Hoogveldseweg 2 06-16 is hanging at the sealing off a sportsbar.

In Mook at SeDeCo Serres the 07-10 stands as a Gate Guard.

In Rotterdam at Eetcafé Noord-West at the Stuttgartstraat 51 a drone is standing on the roof of the diner.
Proplebly bought at an auction off BVA Auctions BV. One of these 4 serials it has to be: 06-14, 06-15, 09-06 of de 09-17

In Maasbracht at Dumphandel Valkenburg at the Industrieweg 4 drone 06-07 is preserved.

In Schaik at Swanenberg IJzer Groep at the Zeelandsedreef 2 4 drones are preserved.
The 4 drones are painted in a coulorfull c/s at Ploegmakers Heftrucksservice in Oss.
The serials 06-11, 09-11, 10-15, 4th is still unknown.

Does anybody knows the serial groups used by the Czech AF and/or LSK/LV?????
groups known are 06, 07, 09, 10.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the complete review of Letov's present in the Netherlands, I never realized (although seen many times) the one in Mook is a "real" airplane !

Although I never paid attention to it, there is one more, next to the road from Oploo to The Rips (Noord Brabant) at a farm, mounted on a pole. There is a number on it, but I never tried to read it.

Michel

Hello Michel

Funny , I used to live in "de Rips". Can you give us a more precize descrption where to find the Letov ? Close to Oploo, or more close to De Rips ? And wich side of the road (depends on direction, I know.........).

t.i.a.,

Remco

Isn't this drown subject not slightly getting off topic ?...

Don't think the location of these drones have anything to do with Baarlo & Kessel anymore
