Hi all,
This is my first post, I just joined the forum!

Regarding c/n's of the Israeli T-6's, are the latest ones now using PI- and not PT- ?

The first four that went through were quoted with PT- c/n's!

Anyway, if 478 and 481 are PI-3 and PI-4 then I would suggest the following:
473 PI-1 (this one might be HKB176 on delivery 23-Nov-09)
475 PI-2
483 PI-5 (this one is HKB280 on delivery 23-Nov-09)
484 PI-6

I know you guys don't like guesses, but I thought I would put it out there!

hi
what about the first four that where delivered? I have them as:
400 PT-450
414 PT-451
456 PT-452
470 PT-453

So clearly PT numbers in line with the USAF ones.

Who can shine a light on them?

I suspect that in order to get a first batch to Israel quickly, the first four were simply diverted from US military production.

Things are not going very well for HKB176:

24-Nov-2009 TEX2/G Lester B. Pearson Intl (CYYZ) Indianapolis Intl (KIND) 09:10AM EST 11:26AM EST Scheduled
24-Nov-2009 TEX2/G Indianapolis Intl (KIND) Beech Factory (KBEC) 12:06PM EST 01:52PM CST Scheduled.

So this one is back to the birthgrounds. Yesterday the other one (HKB280) also returned to the factory from Des Moines. It later departed and is currently at Lester B. Pearson Intl. For this one no flightplan is currently available. So I wouldn't be surprised if this one stays there untill the HKB176 returns back.

So our first hickups have again occured in the delivery! Are Beech products that troublesome?

It's fixed again (HKB280). Flightplans back to the factory have been canceled yesterday, so a repair at Toronto I expect. The next legs are planned:

25-Nov-2009 TEX2/ Lester B. Pearson Intl (CYYZ) CFB Bagotville (Bagotville) (CYBG / YBG) 08:10AM EST 03:05PM UTC Scheduled
25-Nov-2009 TEX2/ CFB Bagotville (Bagotville) (CYBG / YBG) CFB Goose Bay (Goose Bay) (CYYR / YYR) 15:44 UTC 22:07 UTC Scheduled

Her sister is meanwhile going the wrong way:

25-Nov-2009 TEX2/G Lester B. Pearson Intl (CYYZ) Indianapolis Intl (KIND) 09:55 EST 12:01 EST En Route
Looks like this is one is having problems as well and returning to the factory!

I was able to spot HKB176 returning to Beech Field this afternoon and confirmed it as 488.

Actually happy they both returned, as I missed them before :)

I was also out there today and got a few photos of HKB176/488 as it came back in. Was lucky enough to also get N610AT which is the prototype A/T-6C and a T-6A N2847D. The latter in all grey and I believe one of the Omani Air Force aircraft.

Plans for HKB280 have been cancelled yesterday again. So she is still at Toronto. Most probably waiting for her sister to join her again.

T-6A N2847D for the Oman Air Force! Is this a recently announced order or do you mean either the Iraqi or Moroccan Air Force?

Next movements scheduled for today. Both (HKB176 and HKB280) are departing at Toronto destined for CFB Bagotville at 08:15AM EST (14:15 CET). Most probably continuing today to Goose Bay.

If all stays well (is that an option?), we can expect them at Wick on Tuesday 1st of September, continuing on Wednesday through Oostende.

Jeroen
