NAS Whidbey Island (part 1: from the outside)

Post by Melchior Timmers »

Hi all,

Just reviewing my pictures of a great day at NAS Whidbey Island. The initial basevisit in the morning was postponed to the afternoon. Therefore the sparetime was used for watching the activities from the outside. Although I always thought that changes for nice views where low, but it turned out quiet well. 1,5 Hour resulted in 2 Orions, 2 Growlers, 1 C-9, 9 Prowlers and a C-17 all taking off and some land.

And a teaser from the basevisit:

More to follow later.

But seriously: great shots, Mel! I come to the conclusion you are now the one to ask about this base. ;)
