Re: Dijon - Longvic (LFSD) - 2009 MIL
It's not so difficult to find out who's coming to Dijon, it is Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz.

Re: Dijon - Longvic (LFSD) - 2009 MIL
I've just found these pics of the F-15D on a french forum. It clearly shows 800117 on both the ejection seat. However, Scramble database is refering this FMS serial to the 619, instead of 533. A previous mispole, a case of swapping around ejection seats, or do the F-15's really change serials every now and then?raameagle wrote:If the GRAS are visiting next week, can they (Gips?) confirm the FMS of the Eagles so we know exactly which aircraft they are?

Re: Dijon - Longvic (LFSD) - 2009 MIL
533 is ex 619 (FMS 80-0117) as reported by the Saudi AF Eagle update in a previous copy of Scrmable magazine (last year I think). I guess the database hasn't been updated to reflect this!
If anyone else gets on base, can they check the other ejection seats as they are not normally swapped between aircraft.
Regards
Mark

Re: Dijon - Longvic (LFSD) - 2009 MIL
Dijon-Longvic BA 102 12 Oktober
Had a great time yesterday at Dijon trying to get the Saudi`s in the sun.
The weather started out nice with sunshine, but later turned into lots of clouds with some rare sunny intervals.
For the afternoon mission we went to the fence next to the taxiway and we were lucky and unlucky.
First the sun came out at the right moment again, just when the first F-15`s came to a hold at the runway.
They were followd by 3 Mirage`s and 2 more F-15`s and at that point our luck ran out.
The base security told us to stop making pictures, because that is forbidden and that he would call everybody`s friend the gendarmerie .
So we did but as he was driving to the other spotters i made some more pictures and dashed off quickly.
After that we didnt see the sun anymore and the light was getting worse.
We waited for the aircraft to return from there mission and we had a very nice surprise in the form of a Saudi BBJ.
After the last eagle had landed we went home at 3 o clock with a very satisfied day coming to a end.

80-0117 was indeed delivered to Saudi-Arabia as 619 but was later reregistered to 533. See (Saudi-Arabia) DB:-Sjoerd wrote:I've just found these pics of the F-15D on a french forum.
