On both sides no problem to take pics. The best to take no pics from buildings. Perhaps the police check your passport.E. Schoonderwoerd wrote:Can anyone (and willing) to share us the spotting possibilities rwy 18?
And how about spotting at/near the fence at rwy 36. Will the gendarmerie give you problems? From the air there are no buildings visible at rwy 36 so taking photos of the infrastructure won't give you a problem.
Thanks for sharing the information with me/us.

Hey,
We went to Dijon yesterday to see the Saudi Eagles. The Police did a id check and even during the check we were allowed to make pictures from the aircraft.
They expected 2 more C-130's but we left at 18.00 because some of us had to work the next day.

Cool! Do you know if the Saudi transport planes have left or do they stay also?

This puma has also been seen last month at the Phalsbourg airshow. Code and serial are correct!

Puma was read of with the 40x60 spottingscope. And confirmed on picture by another Team from Volkel.
Was a nice day. But it looks like that nobody read of the AS.555 which also arrived.
The spottingfacilities are great here. It's a shame that this base is closing down very soon.
The best place to spot is in the place Ouges and ride to the street Rue des Mirages.
From here you can make nice desent shots.
Cheers,
Eric

The Gendarmerie AS.350 was red off by the same Volkel team as JCF.

It came to my mind as a very strange coincidence
-Saoudi F-15s in Europe (Dijon)
-Israeli F-15s in Europe (Deci)
all in the same timeframe
Is there a change that they will meet for a (mock) dogfight overhead the Mediterranean Sea these 2 weeks

I do not see anything else than a coincidence. I would rule out the possibility of any mock dog fight. Why should they dogfight with each other, they are potential enemies, remember? They are guests in different countries and some distance apart.
