If you are close to the N224 road you are facing the sun. If you stand at spot 2 you can photograph them from the side, or you can walk a little further on the Ginkelse Heide.

Number 1 is the Line where most of the C-130's will fly from overhead the Ginkelse Heide.
Number 2 is where the Commemoration will take place, also all the veterans are there.

says the C130s will be coming in from the south, so I guess the arrow number 1 will be in the opposite direction this year ...
Doesn't really make much difference for those on the ground though
Anyway a great event. I'll definitely try to be there, if I don't have to work that weekend

Anybody a idea which route they will fly. Will they fly direct from Eindhoven to the dropzone? Or will they fly a part of the orginal route over Brabant?
Re: Luchtlandingen 19 Sept. 2009 (Airborne Memorial Jump)

Re: Luchtlandingen 19 Sept. 2009 (Airborne Memorial Jump)
Does anyone know whether there will be flights on Sunday 20th September? Last year at Soesterberg the US C-130s made multiple flights on Sunday. What can we expect this Sunday?
